Many people think that in Australia people eat only barbecue, taking into account their excellent climate, a great number of sunny days and other weather conditions that have inviting atmosphere for such meal.

However, that is not exactly true. The Australian cuisine was greatly influenced by the English with their English breakfast and famous fish and chips. Also, the proximity of Southeast Asia and the great number of visitors from this region has great influence on Australian cuisine.

We should take into consideration that the confusion of European nations on this amazing continent has a significant influence on home cooking and food.

Andre Cointreau, the president of Paris Le Cordon Bleu Institute, which has branches all over the world, including Sydney, believes that nowadays Australia is the center of world gastronomy.

Thanks to its unique climate Australia is famous for its huge amount of exotic fruits, seafood, beef, and cheese and even wine.

A feature of Australian winemaking is that, in fact, local brands of wine do not differ from European either in quality or in production, as they use exactly the same sorts of grapes as in France, Italy and other countries.

Even tourists, who visit foreign countries for the purpose of trying something delicious, dream of going to Australia for this reason. According to a number of authoritative media specializing in issues related to gastronomy and healthy home-made food, it is believed that Australia sets the tone in nutrition issues in the 21st century.
